Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Four months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Ability to stand and walk for periods of 4 to 10 hours each shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to hear with 100% accuracy with correction
  • Ability to see 20/20 with correction
  • Action oriented with consistent pace

Job Qualifications

  • Certified food handler
  • Experience in culinary and front-of-house operations
  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to operate back-office systems
  • Experience with cash handling and reporting
  • Ability to coach and train team members
  • Proven guest service and conflict resolution abilities
  • Commitment to company standards and appearance
  • Ability to lead effectively in absence of management

Job Duties

  • Certified and trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach/verify on a daily basis
  • Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
  • Effectively communicates to team members, management, and RSO
  • Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction
  • Effectively leads the team during the shift through coaching, delegation, and verification
  • Executes shift responsibilities including admin, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening/closing duties, inventory/ordering
  • Supports onboarding and training process including scheduling
  • Performs cash handling procedures according to company policies
  • Handles guest relations and coaches team to improve guest experience
  • Escalates employee relations concerns to the general manager promptly
  • Attends all store manager meetings
  • Executes other tasks and duties as assigned
