Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months shift lead experience for external candidates
- Four months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
- Certified trained culinary and front-of-house operations
- Certified food handler
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lead and coach others
- Experience with cash handling
- Ability to use back-office systems
- Must be able to stand and walk for four to ten hours each shift
- Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport objects weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly
- Must have hearing with 100 percent accuracy with correction
- Must have vision of 20/20 with correction

Job Duties
- Certified and trained in culinary and front-of-the-house operations and can perform duties and coach and verify on a daily basis
- Certified food handler and can effectively teach and execute company safety and health procedures
- Effectively communicates through live conversations, email, etc. to team members, management, and regional support office
- Acts as a role model in behaviors, dress, and guest interaction
- Exhibits desired Pei Wei behaviors and standards and is a role model for dress, behavior, and interaction with guests and team members
- Effectively leads the team during the shift through coaching, delegation, and verification
- Effectively follows and executes shift responsibilities as outlined on mod checklist including admin, reporting, scheduling, SMG scores, cash handling, opening/closing duties, inventory/ordering
- Effectively supports the onboarding and training process including scheduling
- Effectively performs cash handling procedures according to company policies
- Effectively handles guest relations and can coach team on behaviors to improve the guest experience
- Promptly escalates any employee relations concerns to the general manager
- Attends all store manager meetings
- Effectively executes other tasks and duties as assigned
