Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Four months Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Ability to work all aspects of restaurant operations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Capacity to use back-office systems
  • Ability to lead in absence of management
  • Ability to stand and walk for four to ten hours per shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs
  • Hearing and vision capabilities with correction
  • Strong commitment to brand and team
  • Action oriented and self motivated
  • Customer focused

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of shift lead experience for external candidates
  • Four months of Pei Wei experience for internal candidates
  • Certified food handler
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-focused mindset

Job Duties

  • Perform and coach daily culinary and front-of-house operations
  • Teach and enforce food safety and health procedures
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and regional support
  • Model desired behaviors, dress, and guest interaction
  • Lead the team through coaching, delegation, and verification
  • Complete shift responsibilities including admin, reporting, scheduling, cash handling, opening/closing duties, inventory/ordering
  • Support onboarding and training processes including scheduling
  • Handle cash according to company policies
  • Manage guest relations and coach team for improved experience
  • Escalate employee relations concerns to general manager
  • Attend all store manager meetings
  • Execute other assigned tasks and duties
