Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass pre-employment post offer background check
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Can communicate effectively in English
  • Proven cooking experience including experience as a line chef restaurant cook or prep cook
  • Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation various cooking methods and food safety regulations such as proper food handling sanitation and storage
  • Upbeat and friendly attitude
  • Open availability and flexible schedule for demanding hours
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Able to bend and kneel through shift
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds or more

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for service including chopping vegetables butchering meat or preparing sauces using approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Maintain safety standards while using knives and other food preparation equipment
  • Restock and break down workstation at the conclusion of the shift
  • Assist in controlling product costs by ensuring the proper management of product waste
  • Clean sanitize and maintain all assigned work areas equipment and utensils to ensure sanitation standards are met
  • Work with speed and efficiency maintaining the ability to multi-task and organize effectively
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
