Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • previous prep or line cook experience
  • current Food Handler's Card where applicable
  • knowledge of cooking and knife handling skills
  • understanding of English language
  • ability to work in a team environment
  • ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to prepare and present menu items with cook time requirements
  • ability to speak clearly and listen attentively
  • ability to handle physical demands such as standing and walking for long periods and lifting up to 30 lbs repeatedly during a shift

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook all food menu items to company specifications
  • stock pantry station fully before the shift
  • setup, operate, breakdown, and clean all kitchen equipment
  • handle all chemicals used in the building properly
  • use prep tools and equipment according to safety guidelines
  • operate the POS system
  • learn restaurant menu and recipes and guide guests on choosing menu items
  • use proper sanitation and safety procedures
  • follow dress code
  • perform duties associated with kitchen operations
  • work around various temperature levels in the kitchen
  • stock and organize daily or weekly deliveries
  • wash dishes, sweep and mop floors, clean and maintain equipment, sanitize utensils, and maintain all areas of the restaurant
