Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience as a prep or line cook
  • possession of a current Food Handler's Card where applicable
  • ability to stand and walk for four to ten hours per shift
  • ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly
  • good hearing with correction
  • good vision with correction
  • knowledge of cooking and knife handling skills
  • ability to work in a team and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • strong communication skills

  • ability to prepare and present menu items within cook time requirements
  • understand how to modify dishes due to guest requests such as allergies or gluten free

  • ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to employees and management

  • ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook all food menu items to company specifications
  • stock pantry station fully before the shift
  • setup, operate, breakdown, and clean all kitchen equipment
  • handle all cleaning chemicals used in the building properly
  • use all prep tools and equipment according to safety guidelines
  • operate the POS system
  • learn restaurant menu and recipes and guide guests on choosing menu items including modifications
  • apply proper sanitation practices and safety procedures
  • follow dress code
  • perform duties associated with kitchen operations
  • work around various temperature levels in the kitchen
  • stock and organize daily or weekly deliveries
  • wash dishes, sweep, mop floors, clean and maintain equipment, sanitize utensils, and maintain all areas of the restaurant
