Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years general manager experience for external candidates
  • 6 months Pei Wei senior or assistant manager experience for internal candidates
  • Certified in Pei Wei culinary and front-of-the-house operations
  • Ability to perform physical demands including reaching, bending, balancing, and transporting objects up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for eight to ten hours per shift
  • Must obtain appropriate food handlers permit within 6 months or as local regulations require
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to maintaining safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Ensures operational excellence of designated restaurant
  • Takes ownership of guest relations and customer satisfaction
  • Implements, cascades, and sustains company initiatives and goals
  • Increases sales and operating profit through marketing and internal opportunities
  • Certified in Pei Wei culinary and front-of-the-house operations, performing daily duties
  • Fosters a safe, respectful, and quality employee experience
  • Supervises, assigns, and delegates tasks to management and team members
  • Recruits, hires, and trains team following internal specifications
  • Provides leadership and development to management staff in financial, safety, and sanitation areas
  • Acts as goodwill ambassador to the community
  • Uses performance management tools for employee appraisals and coaching
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Oversees regular repairs and maintenance of the restaurant
  • Handles administrative tasks including hiring, terminating, invoicing, payroll, and cash handling
  • Performs regular line checks to maintain product quality
  • Completes prep lists and order guides
  • Manages cost and food inventories
  • Obtains and maintains food handlers permit as required
