Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years general manager experience for external candidates
- 6 months Pei Wei senior or assistant manager experience for internal candidates
- certified in Pei Wei culinary and front-of-the-house operations
- able to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs
- able to stand and walk for 8 to 10 hours per shift
- obtains and maintains safe food handlers permit within 6 months
- adherence to state and federal safety and sanitation guidelines
- strong sales building and conflict management skills
- effective team building and hiring abilities
- emotional intelligence and flexibility in management style
- embraces change and schedules effectively
- commitment to food safety
- demonstrates accountability and result-driven orientation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum 2 years general manager experience for external candidates
- minimum 6 months Pei Wei senior or assistant manager experience for internal candidates
- strong leadership skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- proficiency in sales building and conflict management
- ability to develop and engage teams
- thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- competency in scheduling and employee performance management
- capability to handle administrative responsibilities effectively
Job Duties
- Ensures operational excellence of his/her designated restaurant
- takes ownership of guest relations and customer satisfaction outcomes
- implements, cascades, and sustains company initiatives and goals
- increases sales and operating profit and sets short/long term plans
- certified in Pei Wei Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations and can perform duties daily
- fosters a safe, respectful, and quality employee experience
- supervises, assigns, and delegates tasks to management and hourly team members
- recruits, hires, and trains a full team following internal training specifications
- provides ongoing leadership and development to immediate management staff
- acts as a goodwill ambassador to the community of Pei Wei
- uses performance management tools to ensure all employee appraisals are completed with coaching and feedback
- ensures compliance with all state and federal safety and sanitation guidelines
- ensures timely repairs and maintenance of the restaurant
- handles administrative tasks including hiring, terminating, invoicing, payroll, and cash handling
- performs regular line checks to maintain product quality standards
- makes sure that all prep lists and order guides are complete
- takes responsibility for all cost and food inventories
- obtains and maintains appropriate safe food handlers permit
