Job Requirements

  • External candidates must have 2 years general manager experience
  • Internal candidates require 6 months Pei Wei senior or assistant manager experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must obtain safe food handlers permit within 6 months or as per local regulations
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8 to 10 hours per shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs
  • Must comply with state and federal safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years general manager experience for external candidates
  • 6 months Pei Wei senior/assistant manager experience for internal candidates
  • Certified in Pei Wei Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Demonstrated ability in sales building and profitability
  • Conflict management capabilities
  • Effective scheduling skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Proven ability to drive results and manage performance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Ensures operational excellence of his/her designated restaurant
  • Takes ownership of guest relations and customer satisfaction outcomes of his/her designated restaurant
  • Implements, cascades, and sustains company initiatives and goals
  • Increases sales and operating profit and sets short/long term plans through local marketing and internal opportunities
  • Certified in Pei Wei Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations and performs duties daily
  • Fosters a safe, respectful, and quality employee experience
  • Supervises, assigns, and delegates tasks appropriately to management and hourly team members
  • Recruits, hires, and trains a full team following internal training specifications
  • Provides ongoing leadership and development to management staff including P/L, food and labor costs, safety and sanitation
  • Acts as goodwill ambassador to the community
  • Uses performance management tools to complete employee appraisals with coaching and feedback
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Manages repairs and maintenance timely
  • Handles administration tasks including hiring, terminating, invoicing, payroll, and cash handling
  • Performs regular line checks for product quality
  • Completes prep lists and order guides
  • Takes responsibility for all cost and food inventories
  • Obtains and maintains appropriate safe food handlers permit
