Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 years General Manager experience for external candidates
  • 6 months Pei Wei Senior or Assistant Manager experience for internal candidates
  • must be certified in Pei Wei Culinary and Front-of-the-House operations
  • physical ability to stand and walk for eight to ten hours per shift
  • ability to reach, bend, balance and transport objects up to 30 lbs
  • obtain and maintain safe food handlers permit within 6 months
  • strong competencies in sales building, conflict management, team development, hiring, emotional intelligence, embracing change, scheduling, food safety, and driving results

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensures operational excellence of his/her designated restaurant
  • takes ownership of guest relations and customer satisfaction outcomes
  • implements, cascades, and sustains company initiatives and goals
  • increases sales and operating profit through local marketing and internal opportunities
  • certified in Pei Wei Culinary and Front-of-the-House operations and performs duties daily
  • fosters a safe, respectful, and quality employee experience
  • supervises, assigns, and delegates tasks appropriately to management and hourly team members
  • recruits, hires, and trains a full team following internal training specifications
  • provides ongoing leadership and development to management staff
  • acts as a goodwill ambassador to the community
  • uses performance management tools to ensure completion of employee appraisals
  • ensures compliance with all state and federal safety and sanitation guidelines
  • manages regular repairs and maintenance of the restaurant
  • handles administrative tasks including hiring, terminating, invoicing, payroll, and cash handling
  • performs regular line checks to maintain product quality standards
  • ensures completeness of prep lists and order guides
  • takes responsibility for cost and food inventories
  • obtains and maintains a safe food handlers permit
