Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years General Manager experience for external candidates
  • Six months Pei Wei Senior or Assistant Manager experience for internal candidates
  • Certified in Pei Wei Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for eight to ten hours per shift
  • Obtain safe food handler's permit within six months
  • Compliance with state and federal safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Strong sales, conflict management, team building, hiring, emotional intelligence, change management, scheduling, and food safety competencies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Ensure operational excellence of his/her designated restaurant
  • Take ownership of guest relations and customer satisfaction outcomes
  • Implement, cascade, and sustain company initiatives and goals
  • Increase sales and operating profit and set short/long term plans through local marketing and internal opportunities
  • Perform duties certified in Pei Wei Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations daily
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and quality employee experience
  • Supervise, assign, and delegate tasks appropriately to management and hourly team members
  • Recruit, hire, and train staff following internal training specifications
  • Provide ongoing leadership and development to management staff including P/L accountability, food and labor costs, safety and sanitation
  • Act as a goodwill ambassador to the community
  • Use performance management tools to ensure employee performance appraisals with coaching and feedback
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Oversee timely repairs and maintenance of the restaurant
  • Handle administrative tasks such as hiring, terminating, invoicing, payroll, and cash handling
  • Conduct regular line checks to maintain product quality standards
  • Ensure prep lists and order guides are complete
  • Take responsibility for all cost and food inventories
  • Obtain and keep current appropriate safe food handler's permit
