Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • two years general manager experience for external candidates
  • six months Pei Wei senior or assistant manager experience for internal candidates
  • certified in Pei Wei culinary and front-of-the-house operations
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, balancing, and transporting objects up to 30 lbs
  • able to stand and walk for eight to ten hours per shift
  • obtain and maintain a current safe food handlers permit
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to manage sales growth and staff effectively
  • possess emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills

Job Qualifications

  • certified in Pei Wei Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations and performs daily duties
  • fosters a safe and respectful employee experience
  • supervises, assigns, and delegates tasks appropriately
  • recruits, hires, and trains team members
  • provides leadership and development to management staff
  • acts as a goodwill ambassador to the community
  • uses performance management tools for appraisals
  • ensures compliance with safety and sanitation guidelines
  • manages restaurant repairs and maintenance
  • handles administrative tasks including hiring, payroll, and cash handling
  • performs regular line checks
  • manages prep lists and order guides
  • takes responsibility for cost and food inventories
