Job Requirements

  • 2 years General Manager experience for external candidates
  • 6 months Pei Wei Sr./Assistant Manager experience for internal candidates

Job Duties

  • Ensures operational excellence of his/her designated restaurant
  • takes ownership of guest relations and customer satisfaction outcomes
  • implements, cascades, and sustains company initiatives and goals
  • increases sales and operating profit through local marketing and internal opportunities
  • certified in Pei Wei Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations and can perform duties daily
  • fosters a safe, respectful, and quality employee experience
  • supervises, assigns, and delegates tasks to management and hourly team members
  • recruits, hires, and trains a full team following internal training specifications
  • provides on-going leadership and development to immediate management staff including P/L statement accountabilities, food and labor costs, safety and sanitation
  • acts as a goodwill ambassador to the community
  • uses performance management tools to complete employee appraisals with coaching, correction, and feedback
  • ensures compliance with state and federal safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ensures regular repairs and maintenance of the restaurant
  • handles administrative tasks including hiring, terminating, invoicing, payroll, and cash handling
  • performs regular line checks to maintain product quality standards
  • completes prep lists and order guides
  • takes responsibility for all cost and food inventories
  • obtains and maintains a safe food handlers permit
