Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of General Manager experience for external candidates
  • 6 months of Pei Wei Senior or Assistant Manager experience for internal candidates
  • Certified in Pei Wei Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations
  • Ability to perform daily operational duties
  • Obtain and maintain safe food handler permit within 6 months
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8 to 10 hours per shift
  • Capability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 30 pounds during shift
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Effective conflict resolution abilities
  • Sales oriented mindset
  • Excellent scheduling and labor cost control skills
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of General Manager experience for external candidates
  • 6 months in Pei Wei Sr/Assistant Manager position for internal candidates
  • Certified in Pei Wei Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams
  • Strong understanding of sales building and profit growth strategies
  • Experience with conflict management and effective communication
  • Ability to manage food safety and sanitation compliance
  • Skilled in scheduling and labor cost management
  • Competency in financial oversight including P&L and inventory management

Job Duties

  • Ensures operational excellence of designated restaurant
  • Takes ownership of guest relations and customer satisfaction outcomes
  • Implements, cascades, and sustains company initiatives and goals
  • Increases sales and operating profit through local marketing and internal opportunities
  • Certified in Pei Wei Culinary and Front-of-the-House Operations and performs daily duties
  • Fosters a safe, respectful, and quality employee experience
  • Supervises, assigns, and delegates tasks to management and hourly team members
  • Recruits, hires, and trains team members according to company standards
  • Provides ongoing leadership and development to management staff
  • Acts as goodwill ambassador to the community
  • Uses performance management tools for employee appraisals
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Oversees repairs and maintenance of the restaurant
  • Handles administrative tasks like hiring, terminating, invoicing, payroll, and cash handling
  • Performs regular line checks to maintain product quality
  • Completes prep lists and order guides
  • Manages cost and food inventories
  • Obtains and maintains safe food handler permits within required timeframe
