Job Requirements
- Two years management experience for external candidates
- one year Pei Wei Manager experience or six months Pei Wei Manager experience and one year previous restaurant management experience
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- ability to handle guest service issues professionally and with composure
- ability to foster a safe, respectful and quality employee experience
- knowledge of state safety and sanitation guidelines
- capability to supervise training and execution of menu items and procedures
- skill in performing product quality checks and inventory management
- ability to support business goals including food costs, labor, and team member retention
- competency in assigning and delegating tasks
- proficiency in recruiting, hiring, and training staff
- strong communication and leadership skills
- physical ability to reach, bend, balance, transport objects up to 30 lbs, and stand or walk for eight to ten hours each shift
Job Qualifications
- Two years management experience for external candidates
- one year Pei Wei Manager experience for internal candidates or six months Pei Wei Manager experience combined with one year previous restaurant management experience
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- strong decision-making skills including applying data and experience for fact-based decisions
- ability to make timely decisions balancing urgency with long-term execution
- excellent judgment
- ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts
- capacity to leverage previous experiences to solve new problems
- experience reviewing successes and failures to drive improvement
- completion of front-of-house and back-of-house certification
- competence in both front-of-house and back-of-house operations
- ability to train team members in all positions
- understanding of how front-of-house and back-of-house impact guest experience
- experience in coaching team members with constructive feedback
- skills to model desired behaviors to support coaching
- providing ongoing feedback to improve team performance
Job Duties
- Handle guest service issues professionally and with composure
- foster a safe, respectful and quality employee experience
- partner with the General Manager to identify and address opportunities to increase business results using profit and loss statements
- execute all state safety and sanitation guidelines
- ensure proper timing and production of all food orders
- supervise and facilitate training of food preparation and execution of all menu items, procedures, and recipes
- maintain all product quality standards by performing regular line checks
- complete prep lists, order guides, and all cost and food inventories
- support business goals including food costs, labor, and team member retention
- supervise, assign, and delegate tasks and give direction to all staff and management
- assist the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, and training
- act as a goodwill ambassador to the Pei Wei community
- oversee regular repairs and maintenance of the restaurant
- assist the General Manager in developing other managers and Shift Leaders
- proficiently place all orders for the restaurant including Coke, DSI, Ed, etc.
- partner with the General Manager to forecast sales and develop schedules with proper staffing levels
