Job Requirements

  • 2 years management experience for external candidates
  • 1 year Pei Wei Manager experience or 6 months Pei Wei Manager experience and 1 year previous restaurant management experience for internal candidates
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to make timely decisions based on data and experience
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
  • Ability to train and develop team members in multiple roles
  • Capacity to stand and walk for eight to ten hours per shift
  • Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 lbs
  • Commitment to following state safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum 2 years management experience for external candidates
  • Minimum 1 year Pei Wei Manager experience or 6 months Pei Wei Manager experience plus 1 year previous restaurant management experience for internal candidates
  • Ability to apply data and experience to support fact-based decisions
  • Capability to make decisions in a timely manner
  • Demonstrates good judgement and balances urgency with long-term execution
  • Quickly learns and applies new concepts
  • Able to train team members in all positions
  • Observes team behaviors and provides constructive coaching that builds confidence and performance
  • Completes FOH and BOH certification
  • Knowledge and ability to support both front and back of house operations

Job Duties

  • Handles guest service issues professionally and with composure
  • Fosters a safe, respectful and quality employee experience
  • Partners with the GM to identify and address opportunities to increase business results using the P and L
  • Accountable for following and executing all state safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Consistently ensures proper timing and production of all food orders
  • Supervises and facilitates training of food preparation and execution of all menu items, procedures, and recipes
  • Is responsible for maintaining all product quality standards by performing regular line checks
  • Thoroughly completes all prep lists, order guides, and all cost and food inventories
  • Supports the goals of the business including but not limited to food costs, labor, and team member retention
  • Supervises, assigns, and delegates tasks and gives direction to all staff and other members of management
  • Is responsible for assisting the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, training
  • Acts as a goodwill ambassador to the community of Pei Wei
  • Is responsible for regular repairs and maintenance of the restaurant
  • Is responsible for assisting the General Manager in the development of other managers and Shift Leaders
  • Is proficient and knowledgeable in placing all orders for the restaurant including Coke, DSI, Ed, etc.
  • Partners with the GM to properly forecast sales and develop schedules with the proper staffing levels to accommodate business while achieving labor goals
