Job Requirements

  • Two years management experience for external candidates
  • One year Pei Wei Manager experience or six months Pei Wei Manager experience plus one-year previous restaurant management experience for internal candidates
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to use data and experience for decision making
  • Timely decision making skills
  • Good judgment in decision making
  • Ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly
  • Competency in front-of-house and back-of-house operations
  • Ability to train team members in all positions
  • Ability to observe and coach team member behaviors
  • Ability to provide constructive coaching
  • Physical ability to reach, bend, balance and transport objects up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for eight to ten hours each shift

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Handle guest service issues professionally and with composure
  • Foster a safe, respectful and quality employee experience
  • Partner with the General Manager to identify and address opportunities to increase business results using the P&L
  • Follow and execute all state safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ensure proper timing and production of all food orders
  • Supervise and facilitate training of food preparation and execution of all menu items, procedures, and recipes
  • Maintain all product quality standards by performing regular line checks
  • Complete all prep lists, order guides, and all cost and food inventories
  • Support the goals of the business including food costs, labor, and team member retention
  • Supervise, assign, and delegate tasks and provide direction to all staff and other members of management
  • Assist the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, and training
  • Act as a goodwill ambassador to the community of Pei Wei
  • Take responsibility for regular repairs and maintenance of the restaurant
  • Assist the General Manager in the development of other managers and Shift Leaders
  • Place all orders for the restaurant including Coke, DSI, Ed, etc.
  • Partner with the General Manager to properly forecast sales and develop schedules with appropriate staffing levels to achieve labor goals
