Job Requirements

  • Two years of management experience for external candidates
  • One year Pei Wei manager experience or six months Pei Wei manager experience plus one year prior restaurant management experience for internal candidates
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for eight to ten hours during shifts
  • Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to make timely and fact-based decisions
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new concepts
  • Competency in both FOH and BOH
  • Capability to coach and develop team members
  • Ability to manage safety and sanitation compliance

Job Qualifications

  • Management experience in restaurant industry
  • Knowledge of front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) operations
  • Ability to supervise and train staff
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in inventory and ordering processes
  • Decision-making skills with good judgement
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Front of house and back of house certification
  • Experience in coaching and performance improvement
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Job Duties

  • Handle guest service issues professionally and with composure
  • Foster a safe, respectful and quality employee experience
  • Partner with the General Manager to identify and address opportunities to increase business results using profit and loss (P&L) management
  • Follow and execute all state safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ensure proper timing and production of all food orders
  • Supervise and facilitate training of food preparation and execution of all menu items, procedures, and recipes
  • Maintain all product quality standards by performing regular line checks
  • Complete prep lists, order guides, and all cost and food inventories
  • Support business goals including food costs, labor, and team member retention
  • Supervise, assign, and delegate tasks to staff and management
  • Assist the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, and training
  • Act as a goodwill ambassador to the community
  • Manage regular repairs and maintenance of the restaurant
  • Assist in developing other managers and Shift Leaders
  • Place all orders for the restaurant including beverage and food supplies
  • Partner with the General Manager to forecast sales and develop staff schedules to meet labor goals
