Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 2 years management experience for external candidates
  • 1 year Pei Wei Manager experience or 6 months Pei Wei Manager experience and 1 year previous restaurant management experience for internal candidates
  • ability to reach, bend, balance and transport objects up to 30 lbs
  • ability to stand and walk for 8 to 10 hours per shift
  • strong decision-making skills
  • capable of adapting to new tasks quickly
  • completion of FOH and BOH certification
  • ability to provide constructive coaching
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines
  • teamwork and leadership skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Job Duties

  • Handle guest service issues professionally and with composure
  • foster a safe, respectful and quality employee experience
  • partner with the General Manager to identify and address opportunities for business growth using profit and loss data
  • ensure compliance with state safety and sanitation guidelines
  • supervise and facilitate training of food preparation and execution of all menu items
  • maintain product quality standards through regular line checks
  • complete prep lists, order guides, cost and food inventories
  • support business goals including food costs, labor, and team member retention
  • assign and delegate tasks and provide direction to staff and management
  • assist the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, and training
  • act as a goodwill ambassador for the community
  • manage restaurant repairs and maintenance
  • assist in development of other managers and shift leaders
  • place restaurant orders accurately
  • partner with the General Manager to forecast sales and develop staffing schedules to meet business and labor goals
