Job Requirements

2 years management experience for external candidates
1 year Pei Wei manager experience or 6 months Pei Wei manager experience combined with 1 year previous restaurant management experience for internal candidates
high school diploma or GED preferred
must be able to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects weighing up to 30 lbs during a shift
must be able to stand and walk for periods of eight to ten hours during each shift
decision-making skills with good judgment
capability to quickly grasp and apply new concepts
competent in front-of-house and back-of-house operations
ability to coach and develop team members
effective communication skills
ability to perform under fast-paced conditions

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
2 years of management experience for external candidates
1 year of Pei Wei manager experience or 6 months Pei Wei manager experience with 1 year previous restaurant management experience for internal candidates
ability to apply data from multiple sources and experience to support fact-based decisions
capable of making timely decisions balancing urgency with long-term execution
enjoys challenges of unfamiliar tasks and quickly grasps new concepts
knowledgeable in front-of-house and back-of-house operations and training
skilled in coaching performance to build team member confidence and improve results

Job Duties

Handles guest service issues professionally and with composure
fosters a safe, respectful and quality employee experience
partners with the General Manager to identify and address opportunities to increase business results using the profit and loss statement
accountable for following and executing all state safety and sanitation guidelines
consistently ensures proper timing and production of all food orders
supervises and facilitates training of food preparation and execution of all menu items, procedures, and recipes
is responsible for maintaining all product quality standards by performing regular line checks
thoroughly completes all prep lists, order guides, and all cost and food inventories
supports the goals of the business including food costs, labor, and team member retention
supervises, assigns, and delegates tasks and gives direction to all staff and other members of management
is responsible for assisting the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, and training
acts as a goodwill ambassador to the community of Pei Wei
is responsible for regular repairs and maintenance of the restaurant
assists the General Manager in the development of other managers and shift leaders
is proficient and knowledgeable in placing all orders for the restaurant including Coke, DSI, Ed, etc.
partners with the General Manager to properly forecast sales and develop schedules with proper staffing levels to accommodate business while achieving labor goals
