Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior front desk, concierge, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare environment and knowledge of medical insurance preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and occasional travel
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional and friendly demeanor
  • Quality focused and detail oriented
  • Outstanding time management, organizational, and critical thinking skills

Job Duties

  • Greets families professionally both in person and on the phone
  • Answers patient and family questions, seeking clarification when needed
  • Assesses empathy and active listening in difficult interpersonal situations
  • Supports patient care quality initiatives as directed
  • Coordinates escalations and urgent issues for timely resolutions
  • Collaborates with site leadership on complex patient issues
  • Employs core values to assist patients and families navigating PM systems
  • Monitors and manages patient flow including self-registration assistance
  • Keeps current on workflows, responsibilities, and technology
  • Registers patients and maintains accurate patient accounts with HIPAA compliance
  • Manages incoming patient documents and correspondence
  • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines
  • Performs opening and closing duties including organizing, stocking, sanitizing, and reconciling
  • Executes other duties as assigned
