Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior customer service or front desk experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including potential travel to other sites
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and a friendly demeanor under pressure

Job Duties

  • Greet families professionally both in person and on the phone
  • Answer patient and family questions to the best of ability and seek clarification when needed
  • Access empathy and active listening in difficult interpersonal situations
  • Support patient care quality initiatives as directed
  • Coordinate escalations and urgent issues to ensure timely and complete resolutions
  • Collaborate and communicate with site leadership to facilitate management of complex patient issues
  • Monitor and manage patient flow including assisting with self-registration process
  • Register all patients and maintain accurate patient accounts while ensuring HIPAA compliance
  • Manage incoming patient documents, mail, and correspondence
  • Maintain confidentiality and privacy of all patient accounts
  • Perform opening and closing duties including organizing, stocking, sanitizing, and reconciling
  • Execute other duties as assigned
