Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • prior front desk, concierge, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred
  • ability to work flexible schedules including potential travel
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently
  • knowledge of medical insurance preferred
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
  • capacity to manage stressful situations calmly
  • strong organizational and time management skills

  • basic arithmetic skills for cash handling

Job Duties

  • Greet families professionally both in person and on the phone
  • answer patient and family questions and seek clarification when needed
  • apply empathy and active listening in difficult interpersonal situations
  • support patient care quality initiatives
  • coordinate escalations and urgent issues for timely resolutions
  • collaborate and communicate with site leadership on complex patient issues
  • monitor and manage patient flow including assisting families with self-registration
  • keep current on workflows, responsibilities, and technology
  • register all patients maintaining accurate and complete accounts with updated demographics, insurance, and financial information
  • manage incoming patient documents, mail, and correspondence properly
  • maintain confidentiality and privacy adhering to HIPAA guidelines
  • perform opening and closing duties including organizing, stocking, sanitizing, and reconciling
  • execute other assigned duties
