Job Requirements
- active physical therapy license in Texas
- graduate of accredited physical therapy program
- current Texas practice license in good standing
- minimum one year clinical experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively
- commitment to patient-centered care
- flexibility for home visits and scheduling
- compliance with agency documentation and supervisory protocols
Job Qualifications
- graduate of a physical therapy program accredited and approved by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners
- current Texas license to practice as a Physical Therapist in good standing
- minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred
- new graduates encouraged to apply
Job Duties
- participate in development and periodic revision of plan of care
- schedule, plan activities and provide rehabilitative services
- maintain adequate patient records and submit documentation on time
- utilize community resources for referrals
- select and administer diagnostic and therapeutic techniques
- instruct and counsel health team personnel and family members
- supervise physical therapist assistants according to guidelines
- complete supervisory visits with assistant-treated patients every 60 days
- attend monthly case conferences and additional meetings
- participate in staff development and in-service education
- confirm schedule at least one week prior and adjust as needed
- communicate promptly with office staff
- notify agency of absences affecting services
- participate in discharge planning and complete therapy discharge summaries within policy timelines
