Job Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Texas
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Minimum of one year of supervised clinical experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
- Compliance with agency documentation and scheduling policies
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
Job Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE) as a Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) in the state of Texas
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Minimum of one year of supervised clinical experience preferred

Job Duties
- Participate in the development and periodic revision of the plan of care
- Schedule, plan activities and provide rehabilitative services for occupational therapy
- Maintain adequate records on all patients, including summary reports, following agency documentation timelines
- Utilize community resources and Agency personnel for proper referral
- Select and administer diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and materials
- Instruct and counsel other health team personnel and family members in methods of assisting patient in improving, correcting, and accepting disabilities
- Supervise the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) according to guidelines
- Attend monthly case conference meetings and additional meetings as requested
- Participate in staff development activities and in-service education as requested
- Confirm schedule at least one week prior to the upcoming visits and adjust schedule as changes occur
- Communicate and correspond with office staff in a timely manner
- Notify Agency of absences due to illness, emergency leave, vacations, or professional meetings affecting service agreements
- Participate with staff, patient, and physician in discharge planning activities and complete occupational therapy discharge summary within agency policies
