Job Requirements

  • Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class “A” gaming license
  • Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Certificate
  • Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Tips Certification
  • Ability to perform tray service safely
  • Ability to take direction well without being offended
  • Must possess fluent English speaking, writing and comprehension skills
  • Must be able to multitask and manage time effectively
  • At least 6 months experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • Preferred knowledge of Cantonese, Chinese, Korean, Mandarin or Vietnamese and related cuisines
  • Must be personable and knowledgeable about menu and resort amenities

Job Qualifications

  • At least 6 months experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and communications
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Knowledge of proper service etiquette
  • Possess fluent English speaking, writing and comprehension skills
  • Ability to perform tray service safely
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • Knowledge of Cantonese, Chinese, Korean, Mandarin or Vietnamese preferred
  • Knowledge of Asian cuisine preferred
  • Personable with strong guest service orientation
  • Willingness to complete required resort service related training within 90 days of employment

Job Duties

  • Greeting tables upon arrival with a warm and personable approach
  • Selling menu items by being specific, pairing items that compliment each other and the guest’s tastes
  • Being an ambassador of the guest by asking guest specific questions and tailoring service to their expectations
  • Taking guests’ order accurately and in a timely manner consistent with restaurant’s steps of service
  • Delivering food orders for each table
  • Taking and delivering beverage order for each table
  • Presetting tables for service with items that guests may need to enjoy their meal
  • Clearing all soiled china, glass or silverware throughout guests’ dining experience
  • Being knowledgeable about all menu items (food, beverage, wine)
  • Demonstrating a working knowledge of proper service etiquette with every guest
  • Keeping an accurate running check of guests’ orders and presenting a final bill for guests
  • Processing all payments according to Pechanga Resort and Casino Cash Handling Procedures
  • Performing other duties as assigned
