Job Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or culinary school graduate
- At least 36 months of experience in food services including 12 months supervisory experience
- ServSafe Certification
- Sanitation Certification may be required upon employment
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Ability to supervise and communicate effectively with staff
- Knowledge of State Food Handling and Cleanliness laws
- Ability to handle cash and prepare reports
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to plan menus and multitask
- Attention to detail
- Pass background check
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or graduate of culinary school

- Advanced knowledge of customer service principles
- Advanced knowledge of State Food Handling and Cleanliness laws
- Advanced knowledge of kitchen equipment and supplies
- Working knowledge of profit and loss statements
- Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and plan health-conscious menus
- Ability to interpret information accurately
- Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English
- Detail-oriented for accuracy of data
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, faculty, and staff
- Effective supervisory and communication skills
- Cash handling proficiency
Job Duties
- Supervise, train, and evaluate assigned kitchen/production personnel during PM shift
- Determine work priorities, plan schedules, assign and review work
- Coordinate food preparation and serving ensuring portion sizes and presentation standards
- Oversee inventory and procurement to maintain adequate supplies and equipment
- Monitor safety and cleanliness of facility and equipment adhering to health and university standards
- Assist with preparation of master menus including health-conscious options
- Oversee operation of cash register and prepare daily cash reports
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve routine complaints
- Prepare reports on facility operation, sanitation, food preparation, and complaints
- Maintain regulatory, compliance, and operational records
- Open and secure the facility
- May assume responsibility for additional shifts
- Attend meetings, in-service training, and job-related classes
- Perform various duties to fulfill position functions
