Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in food service preferred
- ability to follow oral and written instructions and established policies
- knowledge of food production, service and sanitation required
- successful completion of site personnel general orientation
- successful completion of department-specific orientation

Job Duties
- Assist in serving meals in the cafeteria and on the units
- assist in hot and cold food portioning
- assist in tray set-up
- collect, process and dispose of trash accordingly
- perform general cleaning duties as requested
- deliver meals to patient care units and assist patients when possible
- clean food carriers upon return
- prepare, stock and transport food carriers
- keep dining room tables straightened and clean
- operate the cash register accordingly
- collect cash, guest meal tickets and make change as needed
- lock register when leaving the immediate area
- participate and maintain cleaning schedules
- maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment and supplies
- reconcile cash accurately and fill out reconciliation slip
- responsible for all reconciliations with a $3.00 overage/shortage
- scrape, scour and rinse pots, pans, utensils and equipment
- perform heavy cleaning duties
- set up menu board to reflect current menu
- wipe off counters and tables, arrange and replenish items as needed
- refill and stock condiments as necessary
- follow work assignments as established
- perform all other duties as assigned
