Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Some experience as an operator preferred
- 1-2 years customer service or office environment experience is a plus
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- An upbeat and pleasant phone voice
- Ability to handle high-stress environments
- Experience in handling multiple tasks
- Ability to make informed decisions quickly and execute confidently
- Ability to remain stationary for long periods
- Ability to view computer screens and receive audible communications

Job Duties
- Answering a multi-line switchboard promptly and directing calls without delay
- Using specialized code phones including black code phone, red fire phone, and cream-colored emergency downtime phone
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with coworkers and the general public
- Maintaining and updating a list of authorized personnel for in-house key distribution
- Greeting customers professionally over the phone
- Complying with HIPAA, corporate compliance, and patient confidentiality guidelines
- Displaying a positive and proactive attitude to support service excellence
- Utilizing hospital resources respectfully and responsibly
- Accepting additional assignments as requested
