Job Requirements

  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel

Job Duties

  • Responsible for answering the hotel phone according to hotel standards and provide answers to questions and take hotel or restaurant reservations
  • Speaks clearly, distinctly and with a friendly, courteous tone
  • Accurately directs incoming calls to guest rooms, hotel personnel, or departments
  • Takes and distributes messages for guests, provides information on guest services and/or public hotel events
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, standards
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of hotel POS and PMS systems
  • Assist in monitoring and posting any necessary charges to guest rooms and house accounts
  • Develop a complete working knowledge of the hotel’s menus, menu ingredients and what is available for the day
  • Follow the established procedures to ensure knowledgeable, correct delivery of hotel information
  • Understands guest service needs and exceed guest expectations by taking advantage of opportunities to add a special touch
  • Record all guest charges accurately
  • Recommend service and product improvement to better the operation
  • Keep the work area clean and tidy at all times
  • Attend all required meetings
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, standards
  • Assist with responsibilities and duties in other departments and as assigned by management
