Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive payroll experience including multi-state payroll
  • 2+ years managing a payroll team
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
  • Experience with Workday Payroll
  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting finance business administration or human resources preferred
  • Excellent analytical and leadership skills
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work remotely and manage a distributed team

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting finance business administration or human resources preferred
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) required
  • Experience with Workday Payroll required
  • Strong understanding of federal state and local payroll regulations taxes and reporting requirements
  • Ability to interpret payroll data conduct reconciliations and provide actionable insights
  • Proven ability to manage motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • High level of discretion when managing sensitive payroll and associate information
  • Adept at resolving discrepancies and addressing payroll issues quickly and effectively

Job Duties

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-state workforce ensuring timely accurate and compliant execution
  • Monitor and interpret payroll laws regulations and best practices to ensure adherence and mitigate risks
  • Review and process bonuses commissions equity compensation off-cycle payments and statutory deductions with accuracy and integrity
  • Conduct regular audits reconciliations and data validations to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with policies
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency accuracy and associate experience
  • Partner with HR Finance and IT to resolve issues integrate data and support business objectives
  • Serve as primary liaison for payroll vendors ensuring service-level agreements are met and support is provided
  • Supervise coach and develop payroll team members through feedback training and career growth opportunities
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports to support internal stakeholders audits and financial reconciliations
  • Maintain payroll policies procedures and workflows to drive operational consistency and compliance
