Job Requirements

- Must be able to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Must have the ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages

- Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Must report to work when scheduled and on time
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen

Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store
- Make an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
- Assist customers by making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests and performing other tasks in every way possible to enhance the shopping experience
- Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Operate cash register accurately and scan product where applicable and report improper cash levels in cash drawer
- Redeem promotional coupons, receive cash, checks, complete credit-card charge transactions, in-store charges and figure discounts, as well as count back change and issue receipts
- Place merchandise in bags or boxes and give packages to customers
- Ensure adequate supply of silverware, condiments, and beverage cups are on hand for customer use
- Refill and maintain coffee service area supplies including cups, utensils and condiments
- Understand and practice proper sanitation procedures and ensure the work area is always clean and neat
- Maintain strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress
- Adhere to company policies and individual store guidelines
- Report to work when scheduled and on time
- Assist with bussing tables in Hickory House or Market Grille sit-down areas
- May assist with running out orders to sit-down area from all food stations
- Assist in other areas of store as needed
- Perform other job related duties and special projects as required
