Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • two years of experience in a culinary management position
  • two years of technical school training or equivalent training
  • ability to type 35 words per minute or more
  • strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs
  • ability to communicate effectively in English in written and oral form
  • ability to work flexible schedules including all shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand on a hard surface for long periods
  • leadership skills with confidence and clear direction articulation

Job Duties

  • maintain positive guest relations and resolve guest complaints
  • greet guests with personalized service
  • monitor staff for outstanding customer interaction
  • ensure kitchen operations align with strategic plans
  • maximize cost effectiveness within kitchen budget
  • manage time, attendance, and equitable shift scheduling
  • resolve guest complaints and fulfill special service requests
  • prepare, season, finish, and garnish food according to recipes
  • collaborate with team members for efficient operation
  • answer guest questions about food selections
  • follow recipes and quality control procedures
  • monitor productivity and document performance issues
  • provide feedback to direct reports
  • ensure availability of supplies and equipment
  • distribute workload fairly
  • conduct daily huddles and meetings
