Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of customer relations experience
  • At least 1 year supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of ticketing platforms
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and ticketing software
  • Ability to manage staff and volunteers
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle emergency situations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and PCI compliance
  • Valid for work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in theatre, fine or performing arts, or business preferred
  • At least 4 years’ experience managing customer relations with event and facility coordination background
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Marketing or performing arts experience preferred
  • Experience in food-service or theater concessions preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and ticket office software
  • Knowledge of program development, budgeting, volunteer management
  • Knowledge of accounting, record procedures, box office reconciliation, and audits
  • Knowledge of online ticketing systems, particularly ThunderTix, preferred
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to design and implement client services
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to make informal presentations
  • Ability to oversee employees and volunteers
  • Ability to make quick adjustments and judgments
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Design, develop, coordinate, and implement the patron experience including ticketing, front of house supervision, house management, liquor policies, concessions, and volunteer ushering
  • Assist with marketing projects and coordinate special events
  • Act as house manager for most performances, delegate when appropriate
  • Oversee patron-facing facility needs and communicate with maintenance, parking, janitorial, and security
  • Recruit, train, and supervise front of house staff and volunteers
  • Manage ticket sales platform including programming events, pricing, discount programs, and seating charts
  • Verify cash and credit receipts, maintain financial records, and conduct box office reports and audits
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patrons, donors, and stakeholders
  • Coordinate emergency procedures and act as primary communication point during emergencies
  • Maintain ADA compliance and accessibility of the theater
  • Acquire and manage concessions stock
  • Support expansion of ancillary bookings with Executive Producer and Production Manager
  • Serve on city committees as assigned
  • Conduct ticket sales for outside organizations
  • Lead long-term special projects as assigned
