Job Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Ability to follow established safety procedures
- Basic knowledge of transportation equipment
- Good communication skills
- Prioritization abilities
- No prior experience required

Job Duties
- Ensures that established safety procedures are followed throughout the transportation process
- Monitors the proper functioning of all transportation equipment on a daily basis
- Transports patients to their inpatient bed and/or to and from other areas such as admitting, surgery, therapy or radiology safely and timely
- Retrieves medical records, lab results, supplies, and medications as required
- Prioritizes duties to facilitate department flow
- Maintains and cleans equipment
- Communicates effectively with healthcare staff and patients
