Job Duties
- Transports patients and materials within the hospital and to and from outside facilities
- Transports patients via wheelchair, bed or stretcher to and from clinical and ancillary areas
- Assists clinical personnel in transferring patients to or from beds, chairs, wheelchairs, or stretchers
- Supports department areas as directed by the dispatcher
- Collects and signs off specimens, cultures, orders, and requisitions and delivers items to appropriate destinations
- Delivers audiovisual equipment
- Maintains established department policies and procedures related to quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control
- Cleans and stores equipment upon job completion
- Performs other related duties as required
