Job Requirements
- Basic Life Support certification
- Less than one year of relevant experience
- Ability to work part-time hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow safety and infection prevention procedures
- Physical ability to safely transport patients
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross certification
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff
- Knowledge of infection prevention techniques
- Ability to follow hospital protocols and safety standards
- Experience in patient transport or healthcare environment is an advantage but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Move patients using wheelchairs or stretchers safely and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with nursing clinical staff regarding patient transport needs
- Utilize infection prevention techniques during transport
- Maintain and protect the integrity of patient tubes, lines, and collection devices
- Handle patient valuables and equipment responsibly
- Follow hospital protocols and appropriate routes for patient transportation
- Participate in holiday and weekend shift rotations
