Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider certification within 30 days of hire
- no prior experience required
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and pushing patients and equipment
- ability to work evening shifts
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work in stressful environments
- willingness to assist with sensitive and respectful handling of patients
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of hire
- effective communication skills
- ability to work with minimal supervision
- decisive judgment and critical thinking skills
- ability to operate transport equipment safely
- commitment to patient safety and customer service
Job Duties
- Transport patients and equipment throughout the facility
- assist staff with lift assists and repositioning of patients
- help patients enter and exit vehicles including transfers from or to wheelchairs or stretchers
- transport patients with medical equipment such as oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, monitors to designated areas
- greet and provide information and directions to patients and visitors
- deliver equipment to requesting staff or departments
- assist staff with removal and transport of deceased bodies to the morgue
