Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year prior customer service or patient care experience
  • Must obtain BLS CPR certification within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Physical ability to walk, push, pull, lift, and move patients and equipment
  • Capacity to work under stressful and physically demanding conditions
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and callbacks
  • Exposure to biological and chemical hazards
  • Must be emotionally and physically fit

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least one year of prior customer service or patient care experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Ability to perform multiple transport tasks under time constraints
  • Knowledge of hospital geography and critical locations
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification obtained within 90 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Respond to requests as assigned by the Teletracking System via telephone or departmental policy
  • Assist patients with transfers to treatment areas or operating rooms
  • Transport medical supplies, specimens, equipment, and medications to designated locations
  • Transport deceased patients to mortuary or assigned areas
  • Perform all other duties related to Nursing Support Services as assigned
  • Maintain strong communication with medical staff and ancillary departments
  • Navigate hospital locations efficiently and safely
