Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- BCLS certification must be maintained or completed by orientation end
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license may be required
- Ability to lift, push or pull 100-200 pounds
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Physical endurance for walking, lifting and exertion

Job Duties
- Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas via wheelchair, stretcher or van service as requested
- Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretcher as requested
- Assist people in and out of vehicles and escort or transport them to and from hospital lobby, carry luggage, open doors and obtain messenger service for transportation to other hospital locations
- Approach, greet and offer assistance and direction to customers entering the hospital
- Assist in loading and unloading of patients onto ambulances and vans during periods of PRT non-service
- Collect specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment and deliver items to appropriate destinations
- Assist in maintaining order and cleanliness in hospital lobby and entrance
