Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Some areas will prefer BLS certification upon hiring
  • Others will provide training post hire
  • The ability to lift 75 pounds

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BLS certification preferred in some areas upon hiring
  • Provided training post hire in areas without BLS requirement
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds

Job Duties

  • Transport patients, records, specimens and equipment to designated areas throughout the organization
  • Respond immediately to emergency patient situations
  • initiate emergency life-saving techniques such as CPR and crisis management
  • Use patient tracking and information systems to receive, record, dispatch, respond to and complete patient transport requests
  • Secure personal property from theft or loss
  • maintain confidentiality of records and information
  • Complete MRI Safety training and follow safety measures when transporting patients to and from MRI
  • use MRI compatible equipment
  • Complete additional training related to PPE use, patient moving techniques, patient equipment care training for telemetry boxes, IV pumps, oxygen tanks and more
