Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to demonstrate the importance of and ability to provide a high level of customer service
- Ability to display a compassionate, positive, and upbeat disposition in interactions with customers and patients
- Ability to multi-task and take initiative
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 180 days

- Ability to demonstrate the importance of and provide a high level of customer service
- Compassionate, positive, and upbeat disposition in interactions with customers and patients
- Ability to multi-task and take initiative
Job Duties
- Transports patients in a safe and timely manner as directed by medical professional staff and established policies and procedures
- Completes all training requirements and attends in-service education and scheduled departmental staff meetings for transportation planning and initiatives
- Supports patient throughput and hospital capacity initiatives by using transport software to facilitate timely patient transports
- Coordinates activities in the discharged patient holding area
- Handles portable oxygen cylinders safely
- Obtains transport equipment for transport
- Receives and documents patient transportation assignments
- Performs equipment functions such as receiving, counting, stocking, transporting, cleaning and sanitizing medical equipment
- Takes excess oxygen tanks to appropriate storage areas and ensures oxygen tanks are in appropriate holders
