Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Completion of training in assigned competencies such as oxygen equipment use
  • Ability to follow oxygen transport policies including oxygen tank monitoring
  • Capability to work standing and walking extensively
  • Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs with proper stooping and bending
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions daily
  • Ability to perform safe patient lifting techniques
  • No prior experience required

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent education
  • Completion of training in patient oxygen equipment and monitoring
  • Knowledge of patient lifting and transfer techniques
  • Understanding of infection control policies
  • Ability to follow oxygen transport procedures
  • Physical capability for frequent standing and walking
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and wrists
  • Completion of basic patient lifting in-service training

Job Duties

  • Transport patients to and from point of service including admissions and discharges
  • Perform patient and equipment handling duties
  • Monitor patient oxygen equipment levels and amounts
  • Follow oxygen transport policies and procedures
  • Lift up to 50 lbs safely using proper technique
  • Adhere to infection control policies
  • Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
