Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two to three years of experience in culinary or related food service roles
- Post-secondary education preferably in culinary arts
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen sanitation
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Ability to physically manage responsibilities in a kitchen environment
Job Qualifications
- Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
- Two to three years of post-high school education preferably in culinary arts
- Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
- Experience in managing people and resolving operational challenges
- Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to be hands-on with staff and operations
- Availability to work flexible event-based hours including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for assigned unit(s)
- Ensure sufficient inventory to meet daily operational needs and manage deliveries including addressing discrepancies
- Maintain food safety standards and proper handling of food products and kitchen equipment
- Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards consistently
- Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, counsel staff, resolve problems, and recommend discipline as necessary
- Foster open communication and a positive work environment
- Adapt to changing job duties and work event-based hours including evenings and weekends
