Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two to three years of experience in culinary or related food service roles
  • Post-secondary education preferably in culinary arts
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen sanitation
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
  • Ability to physically manage responsibilities in a kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
  • Two to three years of post-high school education preferably in culinary arts
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
  • Experience in managing people and resolving operational challenges
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to be hands-on with staff and operations
  • Availability to work flexible event-based hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for assigned unit(s)
  • Ensure sufficient inventory to meet daily operational needs and manage deliveries including addressing discrepancies
  • Maintain food safety standards and proper handling of food products and kitchen equipment
  • Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards consistently
  • Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, counsel staff, resolve problems, and recommend discipline as necessary
  • Foster open communication and a positive work environment
  • Adapt to changing job duties and work event-based hours including evenings and weekends
