Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Three years of experience in food preparation and/or service
  • 1-3 years lead experience required
  • ServSafe Food Handler - ANSI certification required
  • Ability to comply with HACCP guidelines
  • Skill in staff development and training
  • Ability to maintain safe work environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft computer systems
  • Pass pre-employment drug test for safety-sensitive position

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years of experience in food preparation and service in educational, restaurant, hotel, correctional, military, or medical settings
  • 1-3 years of lead experience
  • ServSafe Food Handler certification
  • Knowledge of supervisory theories and methods
  • Knowledge of food safety techniques and HACCP guidelines
  • Knowledge of safety hazards and precautions
  • Knowledge of sanitary food preparation methods
  • Skill in prioritizing, problem-solving, and communication
  • Competency with Microsoft Systems

Job Duties

  • Oversee operations of food services including personnel performance and customer service
  • Coordinate cooking personnel assignments to ensure economical food use and timely preparation
  • Schedule and manage catering services for events
  • Resolve customer complaints
  • Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation
  • Ensure compliance with health, fire, and sanitation regulations
  • Keep records required by government agencies
  • Manage food supplies and equipment ordering and maintenance
  • Oversee waste removal and pest control services
  • Maintain inventory records
  • Assist in assessing staffing needs
  • Recruit, mentor, and monitor staff performance
