Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records software
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
- Proactive and friendly attitude
- Willingness to travel to other locations as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus
- 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, EPIC preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including some weekends and holidays
- A proactive, friendly, and patient-focused approach to service
Job Duties
- Greet and assist all patients and visitors with a positive attitude
- Maintain confidentiality while collecting and organizing important patient and business documents
- Analyze health insurance benefits, verify eligibility, and provide patients with relevant payment policies and billing and collection information
- Determine and collect each patient’s financial responsibility, ensuring transparency and clarity about costs
- Assist the practice manager, providers, and other staff members as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Understand and enforce healthcare regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and OSHA standards, ensuring all documentation and processes are handled according to guidelines
- Support staffing and operational needs by traveling to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as required
