Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records software
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Proactive and friendly attitude
  • Willingness to travel to other locations as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus
  • 1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, EPIC preferred
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including some weekends and holidays
  • A proactive, friendly, and patient-focused approach to service

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist all patients and visitors with a positive attitude
  • Maintain confidentiality while collecting and organizing important patient and business documents
  • Analyze health insurance benefits, verify eligibility, and provide patients with relevant payment policies and billing and collection information
  • Determine and collect each patient’s financial responsibility, ensuring transparency and clarity about costs
  • Assist the practice manager, providers, and other staff members as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Understand and enforce healthcare regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and OSHA standards, ensuring all documentation and processes are handled according to guidelines
  • Support staffing and operational needs by traveling to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as required
