Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 plus year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records software EPIC preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including some weekends and holidays
- Ability to travel to other locations as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus
- 1 plus year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records software EPIC preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including some weekends and holidays
- A proactive friendly and patient-focused approach to service
Job Duties
- Greet and assist all patients and visitors with a positive attitude ensuring they feel comfortable and valued
- Maintain confidentiality while collecting and organizing important patient and business documents
- Analyze health insurance benefits verify eligibility and provide patients with payment policies and billing information
- Determine and collect each patient’s financial responsibility ensuring transparency about costs
- Assist the practice manager providers and other staff as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Understand and enforce healthcare regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and OSHA ensuring all documentation and processes comply with guidelines
- Support staffing and operational needs by traveling to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as required
