Job Requirements

  • minimum education requirement - associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum management experience - two years
  • minimum functional experience - two years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts

  • minimum two years of work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts
  • passion for high-quality food
  • experience managing in a union environment is a major plus
  • understanding of the unique pace of a busy hospital
  • ability to implement process improvements and lead safety/HACCP training

Job Duties

  • manage a dedicated team of 35 plus union employees
  • oversee patient food production, the diet office, and a cook-chill delivery system
  • conduct daily meal rounding and analyze satisfaction data to drive Gold Check standards
  • act as the key liaison between nursing, dietitians, and culinary to ensure safety and excellence
