Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some receptionist or office experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Completion of required e-learning courses within 90 days
- At least 18 months front medical office receptionist experience for Level 2
- Understanding of insurance forms and scheduling software for Level 2 and Senior
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Vision and hearing corrected to normal ranges
- Ability to sit, stand, walk and use hands and arms during work
- Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some receptionist or office experience preferred
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Successful completion of required e-learning courses within 90 days of employment
- Front medical office receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software for Level 2 and Senior levels
- Knowledge of clinic personnel, routines, and scheduling a plus for Level 2
- Minimum 5 years office experience required for Senior level
Job Duties
- Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
- Checks in patients and informs clinical staff of arrival
- Provides and explains paperwork for completion prior to examination, collects and files patient forms
- Updates demographics and insurance information
- Collects co-pays and balances and provides receipts
- Answers, screens and directs incoming calls, routes messages accurately and timely
- Pages clinic personnel as appropriate
- Schedules returning appointments according to physician and office guidelines
- Provides appointment details to patients including time, location and instructions
- Records cancellations and missed appointments, reschedules and notifies staff
- Maintains clinic lobby area and administrative documentation
- Adheres to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
- Performs additional duties such as typing memos and forms as assigned
