Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of customer service experience
  • Completion of a medical receptionist or equivalent training program preferred
  • Experience in a medical or hospital setting preferred
  • Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute with 0-2 errors

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience in a medical or hospital setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • One year of customer service experience

Job Duties

  • Represents Sharp Rees-Stealy by providing patients with appointments and operational support
  • Provides high level of customer service consistent with mission and goals
  • Registers patients, updates demographic and insurance information
  • Confirms insurance eligibility and obtains authorizations for service
  • Works with patients to resolve billing and insurance related issues
